88 - Magnolia Blossoms at My Alma Mater

I went for a walk through Oregon State University today. It was a lovely spring day. I used to love to sit out in the Memorial Union quad and look at the beautiful "Tulip" tree blossoms when I was in college. I didn't even know they were Magnolias until my dh enlightened me a few years ago.

Here is the whole set:

I think my first spring photo this year was of our "Tulip" magnolia tree. Gorgeous trees. Y'all are about l month behind us on the blossoming.

That first photo is spectacular! This wasn't a good year for the tulip trees here; they were sort of anemic. I'm glad you shared yours!

I am so happy that you took this picture. I sometimes forget how gorgeous my magnolia tree is because it has created quite the rift between me and my neighbor because of the leaves it drops in the summertime. She HATES it and furthermore, hates me because of it. Isn't that silly? Anyway, beautiful pictures. :)

These are so gorgeous. They look so exotic to my desert-trained eyes now!
