These trees are one of my favorite things about this neighborhood! There are three of them in front of our neighbor's yard and they are always in full bloom on the first day of spring. Then they rain down like snow on the street. So pretty. 
Here they are far away and close up.
My Master Gardener says they are Flowering/Ornamental Cherry trees.

Besides gorgeous flowers, these trees have a beautiful shape. I saw one today in the cemetery at the corner, and another old one in the park. Lovely, lovely!

Beautiful!! They remind me of the ornamental apple tree we had at our last house. Gorgeous and STINKY! haha Are these stinky?
