This is the third kind of plant to bloom in my yard. It hasn't totally busted, but I wanted to document the first two, and I will take another one when it is totally done.
UPDATE from my Master Gardener friend: It is a Pieris, commonly called a Japanese Andromeda

Oh my goodness, how absolutely beautiful. You have some amazing plants and this picture is great.
That is so pretty! What is it?
This is a neat idea. I might try catching my wisteria that way. I love it so much but it has a very short purple life!
"Busted"? heeh I never heard of this term in relation to flowers blooming. It makes me smile.
Beautiful photo!

What is it? I don't think I've never seen it before. I love seeing the plant open (or bust!). Looking forward to the third installment.
And I love the picture of your friend baptizing his son. What joy!
Note that I added what it was the the title and explanation.
Pieris, commonly Japanese Andromeda.
I am learning so much!
Oh my, that is one beautiful flower! Great job photographing it. Makes me want to reach out and touch it.
