I always like close-up shots. Nice. :)

Thanks Katrina, I am really looking forward to getting our nicer camera this month. This is just a "point and shoot" and it doesn't take very good inside shots. We will get a Nikon D-80.

Sounds fancy!! Mine is a Canon Powershot A-75 that we bought a few years ago.

You'll love the Nikon D-80. I got one for Christmas! I've been having a ball w/ it.

Really Sandy? I am so glad to hear someone has enjoyed theirs. I have used a nice SLR since my sophomore year in college, but I have gotten so lazy because the digital is more convenient! Now, I can have the best of both worlds. This will be a nice opportunity to get back to taking nicer pictures! My dh is ordering it tonight with our Christmas money. :)

It is the best of both worlds. I loved my Sony Cyber-shot (digital) and learned so much (by being able to see the shot) from it. But eventually I felt the limits of its abilities and found myself going back to my Minolta (35mm) when I wanted really good pics. The Nikon gives me the options of my 35mm and all the benefits of digital photography. The shutter speed alone is worth the $ - no more lag! And it is super easy to use. I love that it is easy enough to get started but advanced enough for me to grow w/ for a long time.

You are really going to enjoy it!

T is a sweety Susan!

Sandy, my biggest challenge is my loyalty to the Canon. I bought my first one on no-interest payments from my college bookstore. A big purchse, and I have had Canons ever since, but we really researched it, and it looks like the Nikon is the best. I also noticed that Flikr has it as their featured camera.

(BTW, I finally figured out how to do that cool flash thing on my website. Yours impressed me.)
