These Azaleas are really old, and the previous owner wanted to pull them out, but her husband wouldn't let her. We are so glad because they continue to bring me joy with the bright red blooms. We have about six in our front yard. There used to be seven, but one did die.

Hey, I have azaleas that are very close, if not exactly, this same colors. I love azaleas. Even the name is great :).
I am enjoying all the natural beauty of your pictures.
Dh and I pine to move to the Pacific NW. We have always been east-coasters and it seems like such a leap to move so far.
