91 - Western Trillium at Wildlife Refuge

George and I hiked the Woodpecker Loop trail at the Finley National Wildlife Refuge today. A lovely day.

Gorgeous photo....trilliums are rare/endangered here, are they there? Love this shot...it would be my wallpaper if I were you!

John and I hiked Woodpecker Loop on Saturday and were admiring the trillium and other blooming things. Hope to see you soon. :-)

This is my first year even knowing what trillium is. I took some photos earlier just because I thought it was interesting, then came across a marker with the name. I'd read about it in books, and was so happy to know what it is!! This photo is great...I like the sun and shadow.

I don't know if they are endangered here or not. They are all over the refuge trail, and I now we aren't supposed to pick them. I will have to look and see if they are, Beth.
