207 - "Get Thee to a Nunnery" Shakespeare

207 - "Get Thee to a Nunnery", originally uploaded by carolfoasia.

This is my first time down living with the nuns. I attended their morning prayers and mass, and this was the view from my seat.

Nice shot! Putting the cross in the petal was a good idea.

What are your thoughts about your time there? Do you like the rhythm of the monastic life?

I liked it. I have been to the Abbey four times, but this is the first time at the monastery for the nuns. I have always thought I would have loved being a nun! They are jammin' women. In fact, I might take their Spritual Direction course some day. I would have to wait until my kids are grown because the training is during school stuff.

I have been listening The Cloister Walk, and she is an "oblate." They have an oblate program up at the Abbey, and it would be fab. I like it there. =Seriously those monks had perfect pitch, and I am a stickler for perfect pitch! I was amazed at how beautiful it was!

I bought the book called. Let me get it . . .St. Benedict's Toolbox: The Nuts and Bolts of Everyday Benedictine Living by Jane Tomaine. It gives practical suggestion for living the "Hours" in our daily life. Very fun book.

I love the peaceful feeling of looking through the iron flower at sturdy brick...
