Pain and Eugene O'Neill

Pain and Eugene O'Neill

I must have wrenched my back during the sit-ups in Group Power on Wednesday night. Not knowing it, I had two elliptical workouts and a walk between then and Friday night when the spasms came! Saturday morning brought unbearable pain. So, I took Naproxen, sat in my ergonomic computer chair, and read this book all day (getting up frequently and stretching).

It was interesting to go through physical pain as I read about the emotional pain of this autobiographical, Pulitzer Prize winning drama by Eugene O'Neill. That man went through such pain growing up. No wonder he was such a tortured adult! His genius shines through in this drama from the era of Realism. It is nothing short of brilliant and SAD. I'm glad I have HOPE.

Bad Picture Day

Bad Picture Day, originally uploaded by carolfoasia.

I had a full day and no pictures. So I snapped this picture of Friday Night Boys Group without my glasses on. It is blurry and grainy, but it keeps me humble. :)

More Hope for Missy!

More Hope for Missy!

For you my dear friend, Missy! This is only six days later. They may have popped up before today, but I haven't had enough time to "stop and smell the flowers" to look!

(Missy used my picture from six days ago for her desktop to give her hope for spring, and I thought I better look to see if there has been any progress)

Food Art

Food Art

My girlfriend and I send pictures of "food art." I saw this on my son's plate, and I thought it was too pretty to pass up. I love the food colors on our new plate!
