George wanted to spend concentrated time with the boys since we were away for our cruise. So, he spent almost all day hanging out with them downstairs. Paul CREAMED George in Monopoly! His hand LOADED with rent money.

Dressed Up for Kelcey's Wedding
After our morning with mom Weaver, we went to Kelcey Simmons Rockhold's wedding!
Rhodies with my Sweet Mother-in-Law and Friend
There are not too many women who can say that they LOVE their mother-in-law (on the right), but I sure can! We usually go to see the rhodies on the OSU campus on Mother's Day, but we had the last Perspectives class that day. So, we postponed it until this day, and we are glad because the rhodies were late this year!
Her friend, Murrel, from Missouri was visiting. We had a lovely day at the Broken Yoke, Farmer's Market, and OSU!

Carol and George in July
The last "couple" shot we had was in front of the Christmas tree. It was time for a summer shot.

Happy Mother's Day, Mom
Happy Mother's Day, Mom, originally uploaded by carolfoasia.
While my mom was dying, she kept saying "May 11th, 10 a.m." over and over and over again. I didn't realize until I got my 2008 calendar that this was Mother's Day. So, I purposed to go somewhere and celebrate my mom on this day and time. I climbed to the top of Chip Ross Park near my house and prayed and celebrated my mom.
God met me in a powerful way and put before me a powerful path for the future. It was amazing. Highlight of my year.
THANKS MOM for everything!!!!

4-H Digital Photography Class
George and I are leading a 4-H class on digital photography this spring. We were going to stay inside and talk about pictures, but the sun was out in OREGON! We had to take advantage of the weather. So, we loaded them all in our Suburban and took them to the Finley Wildlife Refuge.
What a great day! This is the only picture I took for the day. The rest of the photos for that day were taken by my son Michael (second from left) because he had our D-80. So, he is the "guest photographer" for the remainder of this day!

Mother and Son on the Farm
We spent the day with my mother-in-law looking at the trees that were planted on land the family owns. She fixed us a wonderful lunch (clam sauce on angel hair pasta with homemade french bread and homegrown green beans). Then, we walked up to the trailer that my dh lived in while they were building their present house. Then we looked at all the trees that were planted on the "Back 40." My dh arranged for forestry referral for the land so that the property taxes wouldn't be so high. The state financed the planting of 6,300 trees.
This was my favorite picture of the day. My mother-in-law hiked up and down the hills on the property with us. She will be 79 years old in June, and she outhiked us all!
We came back to the house and visited and ate homemade chocolate pudding pie.
I love my mother-in-law.

This what I do for the kids for the first day of spring. See the next photo for a close up of the soil for the tulip. :)

Sick Car and Family
My whole family was sick, but I wanted to get my hair cut, but my car wouldn't start. :)

Sunday, March 9, 2008
We wanted to get something special as a gift from my mom to our kids. They have so many friends with these, but they have never even asked for one. So, Geo waited in line two weeks ago, but his number was not drawn.
The same thing happened this Sunday, but the couple in front of him gave Geo their number and said, "Merry Christmas!" Now that is a Random Act of Kindness if I ever saw one.
My entertainment and my kids' entertainment are quite different. :)
