I had a stay-at-home day and read a bit of Walden from this photographed version.

Published Picture!
I snapped the picture in this "Play Ashland" brochure when I went with Laura and all her friends (and sister and mother) for her 40th. We are all the women on the steps. I didn't bring the tripod. So, it was a challenging. I mounted it on a table and put some books under the lens to tilt it up. Then, I put the strap around the books and a pillow underneath it in case the camera tilted over backward while the self-timer went off!
They gave me two complimentary tickets to a play for the 2009 season and credit on the brochure:
How fun!

A Proper Cup of Tea
Julie taught me how to make a proper pot of English tea:
1) Boil water and pour in pot to warm. Discard water.
2) Pour boiling water over two bags of PG Tips English tea in a Brown Betty Tea Pot*.
3) Cover and let it steep for a few minutes
4) Pour with milk (I also use sweetener)
There you have it!
* Julie sent me this tea pot about five years ago. It was so fun to actually have tea together and use it! I won it in a drawing for Bravewriter because I submitted a picture of my son, Paul, and me having tea. I couldn't find it on the web though.

iPhone Shane
Shane came to visit from Indiana. It was a great day, but I forgot my camera. We went out for Thai food at a Woodsman Tavern in Philomath. Then, Shane came and spoke at our Perspectives class. It was great to see him!
