It is interesting to note that this is my favorite picture of me reading (George has another one he likes better), but it was my LEAST favorite book of the entire year! I could only get through 95 pages before I had to return it to Borders because it was such a foul book!

Julie and Julia by Julie Powell. I loved the one about Julia Child called My Life in France. It was lovely. Julie and Julia was very foul-mouthed and distasteful! (and not very good writing!)
Interesting, Carol! So does this mean you're skipping the movie?
I saw it on the opening day. I had already seen an interview with Julie Powell where she said, "The Julie in the movie is definitely not me. She is 'soft'". So, the character is almost opposite in temperment to the real Julie. It was a nice movie. Meryl is the BOMB!
