I love this picture of Abigail and her daughter! They were there saying good-bye to the "men" going on the camping trip.

Willamette Shakespeare's *As You Like It*
The kids are studying this play in British Literature this year. So, we went to see a performance in a park in Newberg with Grandma Weaver.
Peeps
I love this capture by Paul! This was a nest buit in the porch at Tod and Lisa Harris' house in Newberg!

Sushi and Talking with Teala
Teala needed some TLC tonight after some tough things going on. So, we went out to Aomatsu Japanese Restaurant and for a walk downtown.

Beef Bourguignon from Mastering the Art of French Cooking
This was my first attempt at cooking for Julia Child's cookbook, and it turned out delicous! We loved it. It was very difficult and took a LONG time, but I can't even describe the flavor!

Wild Blackberry Shakes and Walla Walla Sweet Onion Rings!
What fun to stop at Burgerville on the way back from the Heirloom Rose Garden for these two seasonal taste treats!
Soul Sisters
From the day we met in 1984, we have been friends. I was supposed to move into Randy and Mary Law's house one summer and had already moved most of my stuff in my room, but Nikie didn't have a place to live before her wedding. So, I let her stay in my room, and I stayed back at my old place until her wedding. She said she started liking me when she read all the neat things on my quilt (homemade from a group of friends in high school). We have laughed and cried and loved for 25 years!
Fun Together
August 11
I know this is a terribly unflattering picture, but I just love it at the same time! So fun to be together for a short time.
John and Shawn
John Rohrer has grown into such a fine young man. It was so good to see Shawn since we don't see each other in town very often!
"Hello, Jayne Austin"
This was so fun. A rose that is named after one of my favorite authors (but spelled differently!).
Double Delight
August 11
George brought me this rose so I could remember this lovely afternoon with the Rohrers and Carol and Shawn. It is called "Double Delight" because it has two colors but also because it is very fragrant. That is why I liked it best of all.

Julie and Julia Premiere
Lisa and Teala decided that they wanted to go to this while chatting at my birthday party. I really wanted to go too. It was so fun, but I wish we had gotten a picture with Julia Child's book! I brought it, and the red hat ladies borrowed it for their pictures, but we didn't think to get one with it!

My "50" Mug
I found this mug on Dayspring in 2007. I bought one for Teala and one for me, and I saved them until our respective 50th birthdays. I love it!
Many Hands Make Light Work
Lisa was going to have Jake move this pile of dirt all by himself, and I volunteered the boys to help out.
