We had a great day at the zoo with the Kinkades, Schaeffers, and an Aussie friend of Dee's. Dee was so cute. She said, "Carol, get this shot, it is so artistic with the light shining through." She knows I like to capture "light" shots.
I only wished I had my D-80. I could never tell if I captured the shots through the Powershot viewfinder.

Our Men
It isn't the best shot, but I had to document our awesome men with the out dated names. Debbie and I joke that we Ralph and George are names for older men, not of our generation. They are great men who love the outdoors and exercise like this. We are all so compatible!
Debbie just married Ralph in June of 2007. She was 47!
Into the Woods
The forest floor with the light dancing through it was delightful. What a beautiful hike.
(George took this picture. I was too busy talking with Debbie to stop and take pictures!)
Breakfast with Dear Friends
Why am I so blessed? Teala and Debbie are two of my dearest friends in the whole wide world. They are Godly, feisty, women. Deborah is like Deborah in Judges (and I read about her in my bible reading on the same day she was here). Teala is so very sweet and kind to me. I feel so blessed to have a close friend of so many years still in town! I met Teala in the fall of 1978 and Debbie in the fall of 1979. We all ended up being in a Navigator Bible study together in the fall of 1979. This study changed my life, and the sweet fellowship of these two women had much to do with it.

Artichoke Flower
I wished I had gotten up earlier to catch this in the early morning sun, but I am too lazy to do that this week!
